The regulations governing the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) are located in the degree regulations section at the end of this handbook, and the PhD and EdD information handbook obtainable from the inquiry office in the School of Graduate Studies, Clayton campus (9905 2819), the administrative officer, Peninsula School of Education (9904 4291), or the student administration office, Gippsland School of Education (051 22 6375 or (03) 9902 6375).
Applications for admission to PhD candidature may be lodged at any time of the year. A preliminary discussion with the appropriate campus adviser before making formal application is highly desirable.
