Objectives On completion of this subject students should know and understand concepts in the areas of continuity, differential and integral calculus, and infinite series; have developed and extended their skills in calculating derivatives, integrals and series, and in applying these concepts and techniques to various problems; and be acquainted with computer algebra and its use in calculus.
Synopsis Limits and continuity. Derivatives and applications. Integration, applications and techniques. Sequences and series; Taylor series. An introduction to computer algebra using DERIVE.
