Objectives At the completion of the subject the students should understand the functions and roles of the key components in electrical circuits; understand the application of the components in basic digital circuits; and be able to design, construct and test basic electronic circuits.
Synopsis In this subject students are introduced to the basic concepts and characteristics of electronic devices, and the principles and methods of circuit analysis. The syllabus includes semi-conductor theory, PN junction diode and its application, transistors, and the elements of DC circuit analysis.
Assessment Examination (3 hours): 60%
