Objectives At the completion of this subject students should understand the concept of information resource management; understand the role of data administrator; and understand the direction of future development in the Information Repository Directory System.
Synopsis Information resource management: overview. Data administration: role and functions, DA in the systems development life cycle, tools and techniques used in DA, information modelling, benefits of the DA function, implementation plan, implementation problems, place in the organisation, and industry practice. Future of IRM:, standard and new development in information resource dictionary systems.
Assessment Examination (2 hours): 50%
