Objectives At the completion of this subject students should be able to understand the technology for the automated input of data to computer applications.
Synopsis The syllabus includes the data entry process, errors and error rates, quality management, information theory, coding theory, hardware interfaces, data entry hardware, data presentation hardware, case studies of automated data input systems, implementing systems, the systems life cycle, work flow re-engineering, security and legal issues.
Assessment Examination (2 hours): 50%
