Structure of the faculty

The dean has indicated that during 1996 he is considering a new structure for the faculty which would take effect from 1997. In 1996 the departments and schools in the faculty operate on five main campuses in Australia:

Accounting and Finance - Clayton
Business Management - Caulfield, Clayton and Peninsula
Econometrics - Caulfield, Clayton, Peninsula
Economics - Clayton
School of Business and Electronic Commerce - Berwick, Gippsland
Syme Business School, Frankston - Peninsula
Syme Department of Accounting - Caulfield, Peninsula
Syme Department of Banking and Finance - Caulfield, Peninsula
Syme Department of Marketing - Berwick, Caulfield, Clayton, Peninsula

Each department and school holds regular departmental meetings and reports to faculty board.

During 1994, Monash University and the Mt Eliza Australian Management College together established the Monash Mt Eliza Graduate School of Business and Government Limited, known as the Monash Mt Eliza Business School. From 1995, the school has been responsible for the teaching of MBA courses and some other management related courses for the university. Students now enrol through the Monash Mt Eliza Business School.
