Public relations sequence

The objective of the public relations sequence is to provide students with a knowledge of:

the theory and practice of public relations;
the development of public relations and its roles today and in the future;

and the skills to

pursue a career in PR management in a PR consultancy or in a government or corporate PR unit.

The public relations specialisation will comprise the following sequence of subjects:

GSC2901 Journalism theory and practice A
MKT1221 Public relations principles and practice
MKT2251 Publicity and promotion
MKT2271 Government and financial relations
MKT3231 Public relations consulting
MKT3261 Public relations campaigns
Ecotourism (subject to approval)
