Objectives On the completion of this subject students should be able to design experiments and analyse data up to the multivariate level; acquire the skills necessary to interpret and evaluate others' psychological research.
Synopsis Material covered in GAS2504 (especially ANOVA) is briefly reviewed with more emphasis on post hoc comparisons, design issues and multiple variables. Other topics include multiple regression and the use of statistical computer packages to handle complex designs. Topics will be treated within the context of writing research reports suitable for replication and/or publication. Distance education students are required to attend a two-day weekend or residential school involving the use of computer statistical packages.
