Objectives Students successfully completing this subject can expect to acquire and develop the capacity to choose a topic for research; work independently in collecting and collating material relating to the research topic; construct an argument that demonstrates a capacity for independent thought and an ability to integrate theoretical concerns and empirical findings; present the results of the research in a clearly written and logically argued dissertation.
Synopsis Candidates under the direction of their supervisors prepare a dissertation for assessment by a panel of staff members.
