Ethnographic dance studies

Objectives Upon successful completion of the subject students should have a practical knowledge of a variety of issues in ethnographic dance studies, including history, different styles of dance, the socio/cultural function of different performance genres, and methods of movement analysis.

Synopsis As for MUS3400 but with an additional research project or scholarly performance assignment.

Assessment Written (2000 words): 45%
* Examinations (3 hours): 40%
* Assignments (1000 words): 15%
