Objectives To extend the modelling skills developed in MAT3751 (Applied regression analysis 1). To investigate alternative estimation procedures and hence select appropriate modelling procedures.
Synopsis Advanced model selection and diagnostics. Analysis of multicollinearity. Transformations. Other types of regression. Statistical computing packages are used extensively.
Assessment Three assignments: 30%
* Examination (1.5 hours): 70%
