Intermediate Vietnamese, part 2

Objectives On the successful completion of this subject students should have developed further understanding of the Vietnamese language, acquired an expanded vocabulary, new syntactic structures and new conversational conventions; and at the same time, should be able to apply that acquired knowledge to communication in an expanding number of social situations.

Synopsis An intermediate level of Vietnamese with an emphasis on active oral and writing skills. This subject is the continuation of VTN2210. It focuses on communicating in Vietnamese in the context of daily life activities. It places an emphasis on areas of health, the law and education. Attention is given to the social and cultural context of language use.

Assessment Written: 20%
* Examinations (2 hours): 60%
* Oral test and classwork: 20%
