Readings in contemporary Korean, part 1

Objectives A principal objective of this subject is to have students acquire semi-academic proficiency to be able to read most authentic texts from various sources, and, from memory, reconstruct the content of what they just read.

Synopsis The aim of the subject is to develop extensively the skills in reading and understanding diverse materials in contemporary Korean. The subject is designed to consolidate and develop the comprehension skills in reading materials on current topics in the newspapers.

Assessment Examinations: 4 hours (40%)
* Class and Hanja, attendance and participation in class: 60%
