Intermediate Indonesian, part 2

Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should be able (in Indonesian) to compile a portfolio on a selected cultural or political issue, conduct a briefing on an aspect of the students' home culture, explain the process by which a product has been made/assembled, their capitals on a map, discuss aspects of popular culture, take notes under lecture conditions.

Synopsis This is the continuation of `Intermediate Indonesian part 1'. The lecture series introduces interpreting skills and continues discussions on the political and cultural life of modern Indonesia though now moves from English medium lectures to Indonesian medium lectures. Practicals contain a mixture of communication tasks, basic interpreting practice and discussions on themes related to the lectures.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 50%
* Semester work (assignments, oral): 50%
