Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should have developed further spoken and written language skills; skills to read simplified materials; the ability to write general letters requesting information; vocabulary useful in some business situations and an understanding of current affairs in China.
Synopsis Intermediate level spoken and written Chinese; intermediate level readings; readings (in English) on Chinese current affairs.
Assessment Two examinations (each 2 hours): 50%
