Language study abroad program

Objectives Students should undertake a program of study offered by the host institution and achieve a good level of competency in the designated tasks. They are also expected to take advantage of access to French library holdings, and the French-speaking academic environment to accomplish a significant amount of research and writing bearing on their dissertation topic. During their stay in France, students are expected to comply with deadlines set out for the dissertation, and to maintain contact with their supervisors.
Synopsis An approved semester-length subject at a French university. Placement arrangements will be made through the department, which has links with the universities of Angers, Clermont, Lyon III, Nice and Paris III.
Assessment Students will be required to bring back all written work for final assessment.
