Objectives By the end of the course the students should have acquired sufficient technical and interpretive skills, experience in musical performance, and knowledge of the repertoire to operate as professional performers.
Synopsis Guided by supervisors, students submit a unified program of works to be performed, with a written justification of their choice. Students attend a weekly individual lesson on their chosen instrument, voice or conducting medium, and masterclasses as prescribed, and are responsible for the organisation of their own performances (including venue, date, audience, and program booklets) which will be assessed by a team of examiners.
Assessment 90-minute recital and program booklet or practical
examination: 50%
* Concerto performance and program booklet: 20%

50-minute lecture-demonstration and program booklet: 15%
* 3000-word essay
on program: 15%
