Objectives By the end of the semester, students undertaking this unit should have a basic knowledge of the nature and history of interrelationships between music and dance in selected societies.
Synopsis An investigation into the structural, conceptual and historical relationships between music and dance. The elements of both art forms and of large formal structures are studied by means of music and dance improvisation.
Assessment Folio of compositions and annotations (4800 words): 60%
