Advanced intermediate Korean, part 2

Objectives Students in this course should further develop, based on their first semester work in KOR4310/5310, semi-academic proficiency in that they are able to speak and comprehend Korean with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on social and academic topics of general interest to the students' age group. In listening, they should be able to listen for information from talks, lectures, and television, or listen for pleasure. They will also be able to give an oral presentation on their interests using visual aids where appropriate.

Synopsis As for KOR4310/5310.

Assessment Examination (4 hours): 40%
* Class and oral tests, attendance and participation in class: 60%

Options for advanced studies in Korean Options exist for students of advanced Korean to undertake courses in readings in contemporary Korean. The options may be negotiated with the Department of Asian Languages and Studies.
