undergraduate major in Japanese with a third-year sequence at credit level or
equivalent
Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to refer to Japanese books, journals and newspapers for honours-level research, be able to interview a native speaker for data collection, be able to present their own research topic in Japanese; be able to summarise their research topic in Japanese, and be able to develop self-study skills for further study.
Synopsis This subject will normally be taken by honours students intending to enter part I of an MA program who will study on the Clayton campus. The aim is to further raise interactive competence of the students to a very high level. In this subject students will continue their studies at the appropriate level, D E or above.
