The graduate diploma is open to graduates of any undergraduate course who wish to study Japanese to the level of an undergraduate major. No prior knowledge of Japanese is required, but students who have previously completed some study of Japanese may start the course at a higher level, and will therefore graduate with a higher level of competence than those in the beginner's stream.
