Course structure

The diploma (or MA part I) in Japanese business interpreting and translation consists of forty-eight points of coursework. In addition to the four core subjects, JIT4622 (Introduction to Japanese business interpreting), JIT4811 (Theories and practice of Japanese language translation), JBC4611 (Introduction to Japanese business communication) and JBC4832 (Translation of Japanese business documents), totalling twenty-four points. Students planning to do the MA in Japanese interpreting and translation and who wish to concentrate on other disciplines may take other electives and should consult the graduate coordinator for permission.
