Course structure

Students who have not completed a major in the Japanese language will normally include a minimum of twelve points from language subjects (for which the subject codes begin with `JLG'). The remaining thirty-six points are taken from subjects relevant to understanding contemporary Japan. These are normally the subjects which have codes beginning with `JST', `JAL', or `JBC', but may include other subjects offered in the department or elsewhere in the university.
