Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject students will have examined and demonstrated a thorough understanding of one particular area of social work theory or practice. Students should also be able to analyse major issues relating to the particular subject area.

Synopsis This subject's content will be worked out between the student and an appointed staff supervisor. Topics could include small research projects, evaluations of particular programs, literature reviews, or the learning and implementation of particular social work approaches or theories. The focus could be on any field in which social workers are employed and which staff are able to supervise.
