Objectives
The diploma aims to enable students to further their knowledge
and understanding of international relations by engaging with literatures and
taking part in seminar work at an advanced level.
Candidates must complete satisfactorily four twelve-point semester-length
subjects chosen from list A and list B below. At least two of the subjects must
be chosen from list B.

Students enrolled for the
Graduate Diploma of Arts (International Relations) may choose one of their
subjects from among the subjects listed for the Graduate Diploma of Arts
(Diplomacy and Trade). For details of the diplomacy and trade program see the
course brochure produced by the Graduate School of Government. Copies of this
brochure may be obtained from the head of the Department of Politics or the
postgraduate coordinator in the Department of Politics.
