Objectives Students participate in an established subject either within the discipline or in an appropriate related discipline. Learning objectives as specified for that subject but the formal assessment to be negotiated by the department's fourth-year coordinator to ensure that it meets the requirements of an honours-level twelve-point subject.
Synopsis In this subject students undertake specific courses (eg part or all of a third-year subject in geography or some other discipline, a course of reading and discussion in a particular area, a special course of lectures etc.) under the direction of their supervisors. Assessment is based on assignments during the subject and an examination.
