Objectives On completion of this subject students are expected to apply the clinical reasoning process to selected concepts related to pathophysiological phenomena; transfer theoretical concepts using a systematic framework to organise, analyse and synthesise data within a variety of clinical settings; identify and apply appropriate nursing therapeutic agents in dealing with the pathophysiological condition identified
Synopsis The subject aims to enable students practising in various settings to increase their knowledge base of the underlying patho-physiological processes involved with bodily functioning. An indepth examination of alternations/maladaptations to physiological dimensions of health will be explored through a conceptual approach under the main themes of altered regulation, sensation and protection.
Assessment Test 20% + Written examination 80%
