Pre-specialisation studies II

2 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Peninsula + Prerequisites: NSG2003, NSG2004

Objectives On completion of the subject, students are expected to display in-depth knowledge of a range of health problems that occur within a particular area of nursing; apply the clinical reasoning process to selected concepts related to a nursing speciality; identify and apply appropriate nursing therapeutics to selected health breakdown processes.

Synopsis The aim of the subject is to give students an opportunity to study a specific field of nursing in greater depth, eg paediatric, psychiatric, medical-surgical, oncology. The subject is taught by lecture and tutorials.

Assessment Students select one of four specialty areas + Assessment to be notified
