Objectives On completion of the subject the student is expected to be able to understand drug treatment of gastrointestinal, neurological, ear, nose and throat, haematological, endocrine and psychiatric disorders, malignant and renal diseases, drugs used in resuscitation and poisoning. Understand the problems associated with drug administration, side effects of drugs, and the mechanisms and importance of drug interactions.
Synopsis The subject will introduce drug treatment used in gastrointestinal diseases; ear; nose and throat disorders; the common cold, renal disease, malignant disease, endocrine disorders, neurological disorders, psychiatric disorders, haematology disorders, resuscitation, poisoning and overdose, and mechanisms causing drug interactions. The subject is taught by lectures.
