Observation The aim of the observation is for the trainee to observe the ongoing development of children at different ages and the development of his/her interactions with people, particularly the parents. Trainees are expected to observe children in six different age groups, each child in each age group is to be observed for one hour per week over a four-week period. An observation seminar will be held weekly.
Individual psychotherapy supervision Trainees will be provided with two hours of supervision per week, while working with a child and adolescent in an ongoing way, to allow for an in-depth understanding of the process of psychotherapy. This supervision will initially be looking at assessment and assessment for psychotherapy of the child or adolescent with whom the trainee is working.
Parent therapy supervision Trainees are expected to be working with parents in their own work setting and will receive one hour of supervision each week in this area.
Assessment Trainees' performance on seminars + Written report trainees submit of assessments and each series of observations + Written report submitted by supervisors for each trainee detailing progress made.
