Objectives To apply techniques of data analysis including traditional and exploratory (EDA), to apply inferential techniques to confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression and correlation, using suitable software.

Synopsis Data analysis: graphical methods of data presentation. Probability and statistics. Estimation and inference. Regression and correlation. Scatter plots. Introduction to suitable computer packages for manufacturing statistical applications.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 80% + Assignments and tests: 20%
