Engineering programming 1

Objectives The student is expected to acquire basic knowledge and understanding of ANSI C programming language as an engineering programming language and its library functions.

Synopsis ANSI C as a modern general purpose and engineering programming language. Variables, arithmetic expressions, symbolic constants, character input, output. Arithmetic operators, relational operators, bit-wise operators, conditional expressions. Functions and program structure, pointers, arrays, structures. Standard input, output and formatted input, output using C library functions.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 30% + Practical work/laboratory work: 70%
