Objectives To attain a detailed understanding of the structure, properties and applications of commercially important crosslinked polymers.

Synopsis Commodity application and requirements; specialty applications and requirements; processing with thermosets and elastomers; interrelationship of network polymers with other polymers; crosslinking processes; molecular architecture and gelation; curing kinetics; solidification diagram and the role of vitrification; influence of crosslinking on Tg, modulus and swelling; effect of crosslinking on ultimate properties; monitoring of cure; toughening mechanisms and improvement of properties.
