Objectives The objective of this subject is to provide computational and experimental skills to perform an experimental modal analysis of simple and complex structures.
Synopsis Modal analysis based on experimentally derived frequency response functions. Topics include basic mode theory applied to multi-degree of freedom systems, principal co-ordinates, classical and non-classical damping and hysteretic damping.
