Objectives The student will be able to derive the appropriate form of equation for solving fluid flow problems on computers. To examine in detail and be able to apply in practice finite difference methods to fluid mechanics.
Synopsis An introduction to the equations of fluid mechanics. Solution using finite difference techniques.
Assessment Examination (3 hours): 60% + Practical work: 40%
