Objectives To enable the student to be able to apply numerical methods to engineering problems, both in engineering practice and research.
Synopsis Interpolation; solution of non-linear equations; solution of sets of linear and non-linear equations; error, approximation and accuracy; solution of ordinary differential equations.
Assessment Examinations (3 hours): 60% + Practical work: 40%
