Objectives Students are expected to acquire a thorough understanding of the recent advances made in the field of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems design, simulation and analysis, with reference to specific components of such systems.

Synopsis Advanced topics in heat and mass transfer as applied to refrigeration and air conditioning; cycles and systems; load estimation; duct design; comfort criteria; computer simulations.

Assessment Examination: 70% + Seminar participation: 30%
