Computer-integrated manufacture

Objectives The student is expected to gain a basic understanding of geometrical presentation and computer description of engineering components; to acquire a basic knowledge of CIM application methods; to gain a basic knowledge of computer-integrated production management.

Synopsis Geometrical representation; computer description of engineering components; CAD/CAM systems; economics of manufacturing process; total quality control; just in time, automation of manufacturing systems; implementing CIM systems, computer-integrated production management.

Assessment Examination: 50% + Assignments and laboratories: 50%
