Objectives The student is expected to acquire a basic knowledge of data logging techniques with a PC and the application of finite element methods as a stress analysis tool.

Synopsis Matrix structural analysis. An introduction to the use of finite element programs, datalogging using a PC.

Assessment Test: 50% + Laboratory and practical work: 50%
