Objectives The student is expected to gain knowledge and understanding of computer applications in medicine and biology, including mathematical and electrical modelling and digital signal processing as well as electrical measurements in medicine and biology.
Synopsis Topics selected from various areas of computer applications relevant to biomedical engineering including electrical measurements in biology and medicine; biomedical digital signal processing; electrical safety. Topics proposed by students and deemed suitable may be included in the syllabus.
Assessment Two-hour examination: 50% + Practical work and class tests: 50%
