Objectives The development of competence in using commercial packages with graphical user interfaces for engineering calculations and report preparation, and an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of these commercial packages.
Synopsis The graphical user interface eg `Windows', introduction to a word processor package, eg `Word'. Spreadsheets; data storage and entry, algebraic and logic functions, graphical presentation, database operations, macros for automatic operation.
