Feedback amplifiers

Objectives The student is expected to acquire an understanding of control theory in the context of electronic amplifiers.

Synopsis Feedback concepts: loop gain, return difference, stability, sensitivity. Amplifier transfer functions. Class A, B, and C amplifiers. Plus a selection from the following topics: distortion; noise; wide-band amplifiers; bandpass amplifiers; miscellaneous circuits.

Assessment Examination (3 hours) + Laboratory work
