Project management of offshore developments

Objectives To develop an understanding of the management process as it applies to offshore developments and to initiate the skills and competence with software required for successful management.

Synopsis General principles and practice: motivation, goals and priorities, delegation, contract supervision, planning, budgeting, risk management, trouble shooting. Management techniques: computer aids, resource management. Offshore developments: feasibility studies, site data, installation program, management strategies, classification and regulation.

Assessment Examination (3 hours): 60% + Practical work and seminar participation: 40%
