Objectives Development of a broad understanding of the entire development of offshore oil and gas fields, including the basics of petroleum engineering in the reservoir, optimum recovery and economic return. Initiation of skills in project development.

Synopsis Well completion: free flow, acidising, subsea completion. Production phenomena: maximum efficient rate, simulation, productivity index, material balance, life expectancy, secondary recovery, gas production, economic and regulatory factors. Site parameters. Development options: review of floating and fixed production systems, satellites, manning, topsides. Case studies.

Assessment Examination (3 hours): 50% + Assignments and seminars: 50%
