Synopsis Design, construction and testing of a model steel structure. Research and seminar presentation of an aspect of steel construction. Steel structure systems. Stability of frames. Second-order effects. Dimensioning of columns and laterally unrestrained beams. Plate girders.
Assessment Examinations: 50% + Practical work and seminar participation: 50%
