Reaction engineering II

Objectives The student is expected to acquire a basic knowledge and understanding of heterogeneous catalysis and its applications, and of the fundamentals of gas-liquid reactions.

Synopsis Fundamentals of heterogeneous catalysis; diffusion and reaction in porous catalysts; tubular catalytic reactors; examples of important catalytic reactors such as steam reforming, ammonia synthesis, methanol synthesis; introduction to gas-liquid reactions.

Assessment Examinations: 90% + Assignments: 10%
