Chemical engineering practice IV

3 points + 48 laboratory classes + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: CHE3118

Objectives The student is expected to develop a deeper understanding of the phenomena and principles covered in lectures through participating in practical demonstrations; an understanding of the operation of selected process equipment and instrumentation. The student is expected to develop skills in the ability to plan and manage experiments; technical report writing; research and self learning; computer programming. The student is expected to develop an interest in experimentation and a commitment to safe practices.

Synopsis This subject involves laboratory classes and problem solving using computers. It covers various aspects of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.

Assessment Laboratory: 60% + Computer project: 20% + Safety test: 20%
