Process design and operation II
3 points + 18 lectures, 6 tutorials + Second semester + Clayton/ +
Prerequisites: CHE3108
Objectives The student is expected to develop skills in plant and
equipment design; to recognise causes of hazards and develop skills in safe
plant design; and to recognise constraints and limitations in design data,
methods and solutions.
Synopsis A second design course covering heat exchanger design,
engineering flowsheeting, technical safety and an introduction to plant
costing.
Assessment Examinations: 60% + Project work: 40%
