Curriculum studies: creative arts secondary I

6 points + 3 hours per weekend school + Full-year subject + Gippsland/Distance + Prerequisites: second-year BEd

Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be prepared to teach a range of studio subjects in the visual arts curriculum for students from Year 7 to Year 12. Students should be informed about current teaching practice in the visual arts.

Synopsis The subject will encourage students in the formation of their own teaching philosophy, with particular reference to visual arts education in particular studio areas.

Assessment Journal of coursework and curriculum design project (5000 words total): 100%
