Curriculum studies: business studies secondary II

Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to develop innovative courses of study particularly for middle school and senior school students; be fully conversant with studies of society and environment as developed within primary schools and plan for completion, an appropriate research study in a chosen unit of business studies.

Synopsis The focus of this subject is an indepth review and development of curriculum material for two of the following teaching areas: economics, accounting, legal studies, business studies, middle school business studies, business studies in junior school and business studies at primary school (generally Year 6). There is an opportunity to specialise in an area of curriculum interest with assignment three requiring the planning and completion of a mutually agreed research project. Selection of a suitable project would reflect national contemporary and relevant issues in business studies education.

Assessment Assignment 1 (500 words): 25% + Assignment 2 (2000 words) 30% + Assignment 3 (2500 words): 45%
